Andrii Maslakov

The soloist of the National Opera of Ukraine (since 2009).
The soloist of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine (since 2012).
Born on July 12, 1976 in Kyiv. As a child, he sang and was a soloist of the Big Children's Choir of the National Radio Company of Ukraine. He graduated from the Music and Pedagogical Faculty of the Dragomanov National Pedagogical University. Since 2001, he studied at the Higher School of Music in Augsburg (Germany), and in 2009 graduated from its MA course (Class of John Hammar). He attended lessons in master classes of K. Dau, R. Lombardi, V. Lupalov, M. Schiml, R. Kabayvanska, K. Armstrong, K. Salmann, O. Obraztsova, H. Grigoryan.
Andriy Maslakov is the winner of Singing Competition in Augsburg (2004, Third Prize), Borys Hmyria Singing Competition (2008, city of Kyiv, First Place and Golden Medal).
His repertoire consists of operatic roles: Caspar ( "The Magic shooter" K. M, Weber), Dutchman ( "The Flying Dutchman" by Wagner), Wotan ( "Valkyrie" by Wagner), Amonasro ( "Aida" by Verdi ), Alfio ( "Cavalleria rusticana" by Mascagni), Aleko ( "Aleko" by Rachmaninov), Escamillo ( "Carmen" by Bizet), Papageno ( "The Magic flute" by Mozart), Marseille ( "La Boheme " by Puccini), Germont (" La traviata" by Verdi), Hobson ("Peter Grimes" by Britten), Malatesta (" Don Pasquale" by Donizetti). He performed these roles on the stages of Limoges (France), Eisenach, Dessau, Berlin, Mainz, Düsseldorf, Munich (Germany), Moscow, St. Petersburg (Russia), Havana (Cuba), Brno (Czech Republic), Ljubljana (Slovenia), the National Opera of Ukraine. He also performed party of baritone in "Carmina Burana" by Karl Orff; parties of bass in the "Christmas Oratorio" by Bach, Ninth Symphony by Beethoven, "Glagolitic Mass" by Janacek.
Maslakov has the good concert activity. On the stage of the Lysenko Concert Hall he took part in concert performances of comic operas "Orchestra director" by Cimarosa and "Signor Bruschino" by Rossini (first performance in Ukraine).
