Karina Kondrashevska

Winner of the International Competition "Art of XXI century" (2006, I prize), and All-Ukrainian Oksana Petrusenko Competition (2011, I prize). In 2007 she graduated from the Musical and Pedagogical (piano class of Glushchenko) and Vocal (class of senior lecturer Kryzhanovsky) Departments of the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine. Since 2007 she has been working as a soloist for the National Philharmonic of Ukraine.
Kondrashevska differs by creating brilliant solo programs of rarely performed works of European classical music, including works of composers of Baroque and Romanticism, which composed for the special sets of performers (for voice, harpsichord, cello and pipe; for voice and guitar; for voice, piano and clarinet; for voice, piano and French horn).
Her repertoire includes works of Ukrainian and foreign composers:
- Operatic roles: Nedda ( "Pagliacci" by Leoncavallo), Violetta ( "La Traviata" by Verdi), Iolanta ( "Iolanta" by Tchaikovsky), Tatiana ( "Evgeniy Onegin" by Tchaikovsky), Natalka Poltavka ("Natalka-Poltavka" by Gulak-Artemovsky);
- Some solo programs dedicated to Taras Shevchenko, Lesia Ukrainka, Alexandr Pushkin, etc .; Lemko and Strilets songs;
- Solo program of classic and modern Ukrainian romances, the program of Italian chamber classics, two cycles of arias for voice and guitar; program of masterpieces of opera classics;
- Solo program of Baroque music (arias by Bach, Scarlatti, Vivaldi, Haydn, Beethoven, Handel, and Purcell); a separate solo program dedicated to Salomiya Krushelnytska; solo program of the German-Austrian music, which includes 10 songs by Richard Strauss and 10 songs by Schumann and Schubert for voice and piano; solo program with works by Mauro Giuliani for guitar and voice (6 cavatinas and 6 ariettas).
Karina Kondrashevska performed with many creative teams of Ukraine: the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine; the Symphony Orchestras of Zaporizhzhya Regional Philharmonic, Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic; the National Symphonic Band of Ukraine, the National Chamber Ensemble "Kyiv Soloists"; Ensemble of folk instruments: "Ridni Naspivy", "Dyvohray", Rizol BayanQuartet. She collaborated with renowned musicians, such as I.Hamkalo, E.Piradova, L.Kondrashevska and participates in concerts together with A.Ostapenko, S.Grinchenko, V.Knorozkom, V.Polyansky.
The singer also co-works creativily with contemporary composers of Ukraine: O.Tomlenova (Odessa), M.Volyncky (Lviv), I.Kyrylina (Kyiv), N.Boyeva (Zaporizhzhya), V.Guba (Kyiv), V.Samofalov (Kyiv), A. Gavrylets (Kyiv).
In 2002 Karina toured in towns of Ukraine with the National Presidential Orchestra (conductor is Sergiy Zolotarev). She has performed in Kherson, Nikolaev, White Church, Uzhgorod, Dnieper, Odessa, Zaporizhzhya. Her solo programs were presented on the main stage of Philharmonic – the Lysenko Concert Hall.
She sang first soprano part in the Symphony No. 2 by Mendelssohn with the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine (conductor I. Palkin). Also performed spiritual solo pieces for soprano and choir by composers O.Arkhangelsky, A.Vedel, M.Bortniansky, and M. Skoryk at the Volodymyr Cathedral in Kyiv.
