Valentina Matiushenko

Honored Artist of Ukraine (since 2010).

Born in the city of Poltava. She studied at the Poltava Lysenko Music School at the vocal Department (class of Nagorny). Continued her studies at the Department of Solo Singing at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine (class of Professor Sukhorukova) and as a post-graduate student.

Winner of the All-Ukrainian Competition "New Names of Ukraine".
Laureate of international competitions:
- Bul-Bul Competition (Baku, Azerbaijan)
- Leonid Sobinov Competition (Saratov, Russia)
- Ondina Ott Competition (Maribor, Slovenia)
- Maria Callas Competition (Athens, Greece).
Winner of Ukrainian Oleksandr Bilash Prize (2015).

Soloist of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine since 2004.

Matyushenko appears with recitals at many concert halls in Ukraine and abroad. Her unique soprano allows her to include in her programs works by composers of different eras and trends and to cooperate with famous Ukrainian and foreign singers, conductors, and directors.
Extremely beautiful voice, charm and exciting performance style makes an indelible impression on the audience.
